The theme of the Conference is “Strengthening the Building Blocks of Arbitration in Africa”.
As effective dispute resolution of commercial disputes has been proven to catalyse economic development, the central goal of this Conference is to grow and develop the practice of arbitration as the preferred method for the speedy and effective resolution of commercial and business disputes in the region.
This year’s conference is focused on contemporary frontline issues in Arbitration and ADR in Africa and will feature topics which have been carefully chosen to give insight to the challenges facing the development of arbitration in Africa.
With over 30 international and local speakers from the government, judiciary, academia, legal and corporate world, this year’s Conference offers a platform where arbitration policy makers, policy enforcers, practitioners and users can interact and proffer both policy and procedural suggestions which will improve the use of arbitration and ultimately solidify arbitration as the quintessential vehicle for the resolution of commercial disputes.
In addition to the invaluable knowledge that will be gained, the Conference will also provide networking opportunities with members of various industries.
The Conference will conclude in grand style in the evening of 3rd November 2017 with an all-white themed Gala Nite, which would present an opportunity for delegates to network and have fun in a relaxed atmosphere. We look forward to hosting you at our Conference.
