Kenyan Attorney General leads delegation to China on a Learning Mission

A multi-agency delegation tackling corruption and drug related crimes arrived in China on Tuesdayfor a four day learning mission at the invitation of the Chinese Government.

The delegation led by the Attorney General Professor Githu Muigai will take part in a legal clinic that will enable Kenya understand the Chinese legal system.

Kenya is also expected to get a deeper understanding into Chinese legal policies, laws on taxation and commercial arbitration resulting from increased international trade and investment.

The Githu-led team will also have a chance to learn more on cyber security and terrorism while also sharing her experiences.

The multi-agency delegation includes legal officers from State Law Office, Office of the President, Director of Public Prosecution, Directorate of Criminal Investigations, Kenya Revenue Authority, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Prisons Department, Nairobi International Centre for Arbitration as well as the Cyber Crime Authority.
