Mohammed Abdel Raouf appointed in ICSID conciliation case
The former head of the Cairo Regional Center for International Arbitration has been appointed by the Chairman of the Administrative Council as the president of the commission pursuant to the parties’ agreement. The commission was constituted on April 30th.
The other members of the commission have also been appointed by the Chairman of the Administrative Council, they are Marie Andree Ngwe, a French national and Hannah Tumpel, a German national.
The case is brought by Société d’Energie et d’Eau du Gabon (Gabonese) against the Gabonese Republic. The case relates to a contract on water services and electric power concession. The case was registered on March 30th. More information about the case can be found here
